Chowkidar murdered at Bhojpur village

Ara : Some unidentified miscreants killed a Chowkidar and dumped the body at a lonely place at village Giddha under Koelwar police station in Bhojpur on February 23, 2018.

As the body of the Chowkidar was recovered, the villagers blocked the Ara-Patna main road near Giddha village for about two hours putting hurdles on the road with the body of the deceased. They were raising slogans against police and demanding immediate arrest of the miscreants and compensation to the next of kin of the deceased and a government job. The blockade was lifted after positive response from the SDPO.

Birendra Ram of village Giddha under Koelwar police station was posted as Chowkidar at Krishnagarh under the same police station. On February 23, he was going to his duty in the morning when some unidentified miscreants killed him and dumped the the body at a lonely place at the village. An FIR has been lodged with Koelwar police station but no arrest has so far been made in this regard. Personal enmity is said to be the reason behind the incident.
