Chhatiaghat diversion in Bagaha collapses due to incessant rain

Bagaha : Chhatiaghat diversion, which connects Ratawal and Chhakhani main route under Bagaha -1 block, suddenly collapsed on September 4, 2018, due to incessant rain for the last four days snapping direct communication between Piparasi, Madhubani, Bhitaha and Thakaraha blocks in West champaran district and Bagaha, Headquarters of Bagaha police district.

Mukhia, Ratawal panchayat, Ashok Yadav, and Sarpanch Ramayan Yadav, said that the diversion had collapsed for the third time during this rainy season. Many villages have also been affected due to collapse of the diversion. All heavy vehicles reaching Bagaha trans- Gandak are taking circuitous route.
