Patna : World No 3 and 3rd seed Chen YU Fei, 21, China, edged past World No 1 and 4th seed Nozomi Okuhara, 24, Japan, in the final in a tough three-game contest in lasting 82 minutes to retain her Fuzhou China November 10, 2019.

All England Open Badminton Champion Chen Yu Fei beat 2017 World Champion Nozomi Okuhara 9-21, 21-12, 21-18 at Haixia Olympic Sports Centre, Fuzhou, battling back from one game down on November 10 to retain her title. Both the players won 51 rallies each in the match. Yu Fei won 6 consecutive points in the match to 7 by Okuhara. The two players are now locked 4-4 Head to Head. Yu Fei had also defeated Okuhara in 2018 final.
