Muzaffarpur : The CBI, which has been probing into the suspected kidnapping and subsequent disappearance of a Muzaffarpur  school girl Navruna in 2012 following a Supreme Court directive on January 17, 2014, has served on notice to two ward councillors Ramnath Gupta and K P Pappu asking them to turn up at Patna CBI office on February 13. The CBI is likely to quiz them in Navruna case. The Supreme Court has asked the CBI to complete investigation in the case by March 31, 2017.

Some police officials, ward councillors and land mafias are also on CBI radar. The IO of the case Inspector Kumar Raunaq has been investigating the case in Muzaffarpur for the last several days. IO Kumar Raunaq said that the CBI would soon submit chargesheet in the case.

But, Navruna’s parents say they have now lost faith in even CBI, which has already quizzed the then City DSP Arvind Gupta and the then SHO, Town police station, Muzaffarpur, Jitendra Prasad. The agency had carried out Polygraph test of three persons including Prasad. The agency had also summoned real estate dealers Brajesh Singh and Ramesh Kumar alias Babloo for Narco test but they did not agree to it in the court. Sources said that the investigating agency could arrest some suspects after February 13, 2017.
