Police seize 4,100 pouches of foreign liquor in Rohtas, 5 arrested

Sasaram : Police conducted raids in Mishrapur and Nokha locality under Sasaram Muffassil Police Station and Nokha police station respectively in Rohtas district and seized 4,100 pouches of foreign liquor (IMFL), a maruti car and a motorcycle on February 10 evening.Police also arrested five persons in this connection and forwarded them to jail.

The arrested persons were identified as Pramod Singh of Chanka, Bihari Singh and Rakesh Kumar of Nokha, Akshay Kumar, Babahni Kargahar in Rohtas district, and Raju Kumar of Sahejani in Piro in Bhojpur district. The IMFL was made in Jharkhand.

SHOs Sasaram Muffassil Police Station Jagniwas Singh said that on information he raided Mishrapur village and seized 3,200 pouches of IMFL packed in 1,700 gunny bags and kept underground. SHO Nokha police station Shashi Bhushan Prasad said that he arrested five liquor mafias along with 900 pouches of IMFL when they were carrying the consignment in a Maruti car near Bishunpura mor on February 10 night.
