Buxar : Police, on a tip off, conducted raid at a godwon of a Rice Mill at Parmanpur under Nawanagar police station in Buxar district on September 25, 2017, and seized wheat looted from a truck, which was hijacked from Nasariganj in Rohtas district on September 22, 2017, by Scorpio borne armed criminals. Police also recovered the hijacked truck from a village in Rohtas district
SHO, Nawanagar police station, Rajiv Ranjan said that some armed miscreants moving in a Scorpio made captive the driver and khalasi of a truck loaded with wheat at Nasariganj in Rohtas district on September 22 when it was going to Dhanbad from Nawanagar. The miscreants later released the driver and khalasi but hijacked the truck.
The SHO said that he got information on September 25 that a truck was parked unattended near village Makarai under Dehri police station in Rohtas district. Buxar police with the help of their Rohtas counterpart immediately seized the truck. The SHO said that after hijacking the truck, the miscreants took it to Parmanpur where they unloaded the wheat at the godown of a Rice Mill. He said that the police seized the wheat from the godown and arrested its guard Bhola Singh for interrogation.
