Buxar : Buxar BJP MP Ashwini Kumar Choubey on July 13, 2017, inaugurated Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra at Gurudas Mathiya Mor, Ithari road, in Buxar district. At least 300 unemployed youth attended the event for their enrollment. The centre has been set up and managed by Skill Development Organization “Orion Edutech” in association with Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and NSDC.

Choubey said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the skill development programme under the National Skill Development Mission to facilitate the unemployed youth become self dependent through skill development in different fields.

Director, Orion Edutech, Manish Agrawal, said the organization envisages to train at least two million unemployed youth by 2022 and added that the organization has trained 2.5 crore unemployed youth so far in different discipline. He said that Skill Development Mission is playing a crucial role in creating benchmark institutions that demonstrate aspirational value for competency based Skill Development training by focusing on elements of quality, sustainability and connect with the youth.

A short term skill training of 10 to 12 weeks will be imparted to school and college students, dropouts and unemployed youth and women under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana free of cost. After completion of training, assessment will be done by the respective sector skill council and the NSDC will give certificates to the trained youth.
