Ara : Avinash Kumar of Ara won bronze medal at the second Indo-Bhutan International Taekwondo Championship 2017 in under 68 kg category. The championship was organized by Dzangkhog Taekwondo Association, Bhutan, from July 8 to July 9, 2017, at Fushing Town Olympic Indoor Hall in Bhutan.
Secretary Bhojpur Taekwondo Association, Suman Prakash Singh, said that 15 boys from India including four from Ara participated in the championship under different category. The participants from Ara were Chandrakant Kumar under 63 kg category, Manish Kumar Raai under 54 kg category, Ranjan Kumar under 58 kg category and Avinash Kumar under 68 kg category. He said Avinash Kumar won the bronze medal while the rest got player certificates.
President, Bhojpur Taekwondo Association, Dr Vijay Kumar Singh said that youth and students have great potency in every field and will do better provided they get facilities and training.
