Ara : A bus conductor foiled the bid of kidnapping of minor girl in Kanakpuri locality near Ara railway station under Nawada police station in Bhojupur district on August 30, 2018, but the police are yet to lodge an FIR in this connection  causing resentment among the family members of the girl.

Pankaj Kumar Upadhayay, father of the girl, said that he is a resident of village Saropur under Piro police station in Bhojpur district and worked as area coordinator in Jeevika at Simari block in Buxar district and lived in Kanakpuri locality at Ara. He said his daughter Arna Kumari, 3, is a student of Junior KG at Kid Zee School, Ara. He said that someone called him when he was at the office that a person, with his face half covered, claimed that the girl was his daughter and he would take her with him but his daughter was safe due to alertness of the bus conductor.

Upadhayay informed his wife Krishna Devi on mobile and both rushed to the spot immediately but by that time till the kidnappers had escaped. He said the bus conductor foiled the attempt to kidnap his daughter showing courage..

Deepak, the bus conductor, said that he had gone to drop the girl as ever to the school when an unknown person came to him and tried to take the girl with him claiming that the girl was his daughter and when he objected to it, the miscreant thrashed him. The miscreant,  he said, tried to snatch a telephone diary from his hand when he tried to call on the guardians of the girl. Hearing the sound, people gathered there and the miscreant fled away. Arna Kumari said that a person, whom she did not know, came to her and forced her to accompany him and also thrashed Deepak uncle.
