Bridegroom alleges he was forcibly married to differently abled girl

Ara : Manoj Kumar Yadav, son of Dev Kumar Yadav alias Bhuar Yadav of village Kusumha  under Ayar police station in Bhojpur district, in an FIR lodged with Jagdishpur police station on May 9, 2018,  alleged that he was held captive and forcibly married to a differently abled girl on May 8 night. 

SHO, Jagdishpur police station, said that marriage of Manoj Kumar Yadav, son of Dev Kumar Yadav alias Bhuar Yadav of village Kusumha under Ayar police station was arranged with the daughter of Budhan Yadav of village Panapura under Jagdishpur police station. The ‘baarat’ came to Panapura for marriage on May 8 evening.

All was going well till the bridegroom was brought to the house of the bride for marriage. The SHO said that the bridegroom refused to marry the girl after he came to know that she was physically challenged. But, her family members allegedly made him captive and forcibly married him to the girl, the SHO said quoting the FIR.

As the news spread that the bride’s family had deceived the bridegroom and his family by changing the girl and forcibly married him to a physically challenged girl his family members and even the middleman (agua) got restless. Manoj Kumar Yadav, in his FIR, said that he was shown a pretty girl but at the time of marriage the girl was changed. The middleman also submitted an application to Jagdishpur police station confirming the incident.
