BPCC secretary says lathicharge on dalit students wrong

Patna: State Congress Secretary and party MLA from Sikendara Bunty Chaudhary on Thursday visited Patna medical college hospital (PMCH) to meet the dalit students who were injured in police lathicharge here on Wednesday. The Congress MLA asked the PMCH authorities to ensure proper treatment of the injured students. Chaudhary said one of the students had received serious injury in the lathicharge.

Chaudhary described the lathicharge as wrong and said he would urge the state government to order for lodging an FIR against the police officials responsible for lathicharge. Chaudhary said he would request the government to consider the demands of dalit students.
