Saharsa: No action has yet been taken against the SHO, Sadar police station, Saharsa, Sanjay, who had abused and virtually kicked out from police station one Sushil Bhagat who had gone there on August 3 to lodge an FIR against persons who had assaulted him the same day.
Meanwhile, the issue is fast acquiring a political hue. An RJD delegation led by Saharsa district RJD president Zafar Alam and senior party leader Ranjit Yadav on Thursday met Saharsa SP Ashwini Kumar and demanded immediate action against the SHO Sanjay Singh. But, the SP said that the matter was under investigation and only after receiving the inquiry report he could anything. This despite the fact that SHO Singh’s action on August 3 has gone viral. RJD district chief Alam has threatened to take up the issue with CM Nitish Kumar and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad if no action is taken against SHO Singh in next 24 hours.
Jan Adhikar Party (JAP) blocked Thana Chowk on Thursday evening demanding immediate action against the SHO, Sadar police station. The JAP workers were raising slogans against SHO Singh.
