Munger: A voluntary blood donation camp was organised on the campus of Munger Sadar hospital under the banner of Indian Red Cross Society. Dr Faizuddin, medical officer incharge of Sadar hospital, Blood Bank, was the first one to donate his blood for the blood bank. Many other persons also donated blood on the occasion.

Dr Faizuddin said that 55 unit of blood of different groups have been collected in the last four months. Rajkumar Khemka, secretary, Munger branch of the Indian Red Cross Society, said that five units of blood was collected at the camp on Friday. Vimal Bandhu, a lab technician, said that blood collected from the donors remains fit for 35 days from the date of collection for transfusion to the patients,if required.
