Bagaha : The officials of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh (UP) met on January 22 at Kushinagar (UP) in view of  UP assembly elections particularly in Kushinagar, Deoria and Maharajganj districts bordering Bihar to be held on  March 4, 2017.

District Magistrate, West Champaran, Lokesh Kumar Singh, SP Vinay Kumar, Bagaha SP Shankar Jha,  Commissioner, Gorakhpur (UP), Anil Kumar, Kushinagar District magistrate Shambhu Kumar, Kushinagar SP Rajubabu Singh besides other officials of the bordering districts participated at the meeting.

Bagaha SP Shankar  Jha said on January 24 that 11 check- posts in Bagaha police district will be created on UP border. The two sides decided to seal the border two days before the poll to check movement of  anti- social  elements. The officials of two sides also exchanged lists of criminals operating from their respective areas for keeping a strict vigil on them. It was also decided to install wireless sets at all check posts for exchange of information from both sides.
