Patna : Bihar government is sending Rs 1 crore for those affected by the cyclonic storm ‘Ockhi’ in Lakshdweep islands. A decision to this effect was taken by Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on December 3, 2017. The chief minister has expressed his solidarity with the people of Lakshdweep in their hour of crisis.

Principal Secretary, Diaster Management Department, Pratyay Amrit, on the direction of the chief minister, spoke to the officials of Lakshdwep administration to seek information about the situation in the wake of cyclonic storm ‘Ockhi’. The Disaster Management Department of Bihar Government is in touch with the officials ofLakshdweep administration.
