Patna : Bihar Human Rights Commission (BHRC) on November 9 issued notice to SSP, Patna, and SP, City (Central), Patna, in a case of alleged sexual assault on a five year old girl studying  in  ST. Xavier High School , Patna, by two  teachers of the institution. It has asked  SP, City(Central), Patna, to appear before before the Commission on  November 29, ,2016, at 12 noon along with the status report on action taken in the matter. The report should cover various points mentioned in the complaint, the BHRC said.

Shruti Mathur, wife of Abhishek Kumar, Road No 4, Jai Mahavir Colony, Kumhrar, Patna, has lodged complaint with BHRC sexual assault on her old daughter studying  in  ST. Xavier High School , Patna, alleged by the  two  teachers of the institution enclosing copy of FIR, medical report, other documents, news paper cuttings etc. The commission on Wednesday issued order for send complaint to the SSP, Patna.

The matter refers to Mahila police station case No 73/16  dated November 3, 2016,  under sections 376/34 IPC and  6 POCSO Act, 2012. The complaint alleged insensivity /unwelcome  attitude of the police officials of Mahila police station as well as  the Deputy SP, Town.  According  to the  complaint, it took almost nine hours before the FIR could be lodged  after intervention  by senior  police officials.  The petitioner has serious doubts about the role/connivence  of  other functionaries  of the institution as well, according to BHRC member Neelmani. The complainant has  also mentioned about an earlier occurrence  of similar  nature in  August, 2016, he said.
