Buxar: An advocate Vishnu Swarup Ojha alias Mohit surrendered before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Buxar, on  November 8 in connection with murder of a CRPF personnel Sita Ram Yadav and looting of his rifle. Later, the CJM forwarded him to jail. The advocate practices at Ara Civil Court and the Buxar police was searching for him for the last two years.

Vishnu Swarup Ojha alias Mohit of village Nimez under Brahmpur police station in Buxar district along with Brij Raj Ojha, Rahul Ojha and Deepak Sah had allegedly asaulted and injured a CRPF personnel Sita Ram Yadav on December 6, 2014, and also had snatched his service rifle. The CRPF personnel succumbed to his injuries at the hospital during treatment.

A named FIR had been lodged with Brahmpur police station against all the four persons on the statement of Laxmi Devi, wife of the deceased. Police had earlier arrested three of them but Vishnu Swarup Ojha was absconding. On November 8, he filed bail petition in the court of the CJM, Buxar, attaching a certificate of Ara Bar Association. But the judge considered the crime as serious in nature and rejected his bail petition and forwarded him to jail. The CJM has demanded case diary from the police.
