Bhojpur SP sends 13 cops to policeline on corruption charge

Ara : Bhojpur SP Awakash Kumar sent to policeline 13 police personnel including one Havildar on November 20, 2017, in connection with illegal realisation of money from trucks at Abdul Bari bridge over  river Sone at Koelwar.
Bhojpur SP had depployed police personnel at Abdul Bari bridge at Koelwar for regulating the traffic and smooth flow of vehicles but they allegedly indulged in extortion of money from truck drivers. When the matter was brought to the notice of the SP, he imediately ordered an inquiry into the matter and when the complaint was found correct, he line closed all the 13 police personnel deputed at the bridge. A new team of police personnel has been deputed at the bridge with a warning to perform their duty honestly.
