Ara : Bhojpur SP Sushil Kumar has sent a proposal to the police headquarters to announce a reward of Rs 50, 000 on the head of notoriousĀ  criminal Kishun Mishra, son of an inmate of Ara jail Shiv Jeet Mishra of Sonbarsha under Karnamepur police outpost in Bhojpur district, in connection with murder of Kamal Kishore Mishra, an eyewitness in BJP leader Bisheshwar Ojha murder case, attack on police force and under Arms Act.

Kishun Mishra is absconding for the last two years and Bhojpur SP sent the proposal after DGP Gupteshwar Pandey ordered for his arrest the earliest, according to police sources.

Some armed miscreants had shot dead the then state BJP Vice President Bisheshwar Ojha on February 12, 2016, at Sonbarsha Bazaar under Karnamepur police outpost when he had gone to attend a marriage ceremony. At least eight persons including Haresh Mishra, Brajesh Mishra, and Kishun Mishra, sons of Shivjeet Mishra of Sonbarsha village, were made named accused in the case. Bhojpur police had announced a reward of Rs 50,000 each on the head of Harish Mishra and Brajesh Mishra.

Later, Kamal Kishore Mishra of Sonbarsha, an eyewitness in the murder of Bisheshwar Ojha, was killed and Amarnath Mishra was injured on September 28, 2018, when both were returning home with fodder. A named FIR was lodged with Karnamepur police outpost on the statement of the deceased’s father Sriman Narayan Mishra against Kishun Mishra, Brajesh Mishra, Raj Kishore Pal, Umashankar Mishra, and Mukteshwar Mishra. Police had arrested all the named accused except Kishun Mishra.

Police had arrested Brajesh Mishra from Sonbarsha village under Karnamepur police outpost on October 13, 2018 after exchange of fireĀ  between Brajesh Mishra and police. Police had recovered a 9 mm countrymade pistol and 16 live cartridges from his possession.
