Patna : World No 2 Tai Tzu Ying, 25, Taiwan, won the women’s singles title at Yonex All England Open, an HSBC BWF World Tour Super 1,000 Badminton Tournament, at Birmingham, England, defeating World No 1 & top seed Chen Yu Fei, 22, China, in straight games in final on March 15, 2020, night.

Second seed Tai Tzy Ying beat defending champion Chen Yu Fei 21-19, 21-15 in 44 minutes in final at Arena Birmingham to lift the singles title. Tai Tzu won 42 rallies in the match to 34 by Chen. Both the players won 4 consecutive points each in the match. Tai Tzu had lost to Chen in straight games in 2019 All England Open Final.

Tai Tzu won 12,000 BWF Rankings Points plus cash prize while Chen got 10,200 Rankings Points plus cash prize. Tai Tzu now leads Chen Yu Fei 15-3 Head to Head.
