Ara : Bhojpur police recovered a girl late February 28, 2018, evening after 16 days though she said that she gone with her lover and tied nuptial knot with him at a temple at Nagpur, Maharashtra.

SHO, Town Police Station, Ara,  Jai Prakash Singh, said that a family from village Piania under Udwantnagar police station lived at village Majhaua village under Town police station. On February 12, 2018, a named FIR was lodged with Town police station by the girl’s uncle against Gautam Kumar and his  father Raju Kumar of village Varuna under Narayanpur police station charging them with kidnapping Rani Kumari (name changed) when she had gone to Gopali Chowk, Ara, for shopping.

Rani Kumari told police that Gautam Kumar frequently visited his maternal uncle at Piania and she fell in love with him. She said that she lived with his father at Nagpur in Maharashtra. She fled from her father’ house at Nagpur and tied nuptial knot with Gautam Kumar at a temple there. She denied she was kidnapped from Gopali Chowk. She showed her willingness to live with Gautam Kumar

The SHO said that police will produce her before the court to get her statement registered under section 164 of CrPC after Holi. Police brought her to  Ara Sadar Hospital for medical examination.
