Ara : Bhojpur police have busted a gang of motorcycle lifters and arrested six criminals including the mastermind of the gang on August 30, 2018, night.
The arrested miscreants were identified as Rohit Kumar, Pankaj Kumar, Bholu Singh, Upendra Kumar, Sagar Kumar, and Neeraj Kumar. Rohit Kumar of Banswari locality under Nawada police station, Ara, is said to be the mastermind of the gang and had been jailed earlier for bike lifting. Police also seized four stolen motorcycles from their possession.
SHO, Nawada police station, Subodh Kumar, said that police intercepted three youth riding two motorcycle : Rohit Kumar of Basnwari under Nawada police station, Pankaj Kumar of village Koshier under Chauri police station, and Bholu Singh of Bandhan Tola under Nawada police station near Krsishi Bhawan roundabout During interrogation, they confessed their involvement in motorcycle lifting and also revealed the names of other members of their gang. On their revelation, police conducted raids and arrested Sagar Kumar of Bus Stand area, Neeraj Kumar, and Upendra Kumar of Bandhan Tola under Nawada police station from different places and recovered four stolen motorcycles from Bandhan Tola locality.
The SHO said that the arrested youth were fond of costly cloths and mobiles that pushed them into the world of crime. They formed a gang and started motorcycle snatching. They later sold out the stolen motorcycles for amount ranging from Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000.
