Bhojpur police arrest three for Sone Diara firing

Ara: Bhojpur police arrested three persons from Barhara village under Barhara police station in Bhojpur district in connection with firing in Sone diara area on Thursday afternoon.

Bhojpur SP Kshatranil Singh said that exchange of firing between Fauzi and Sipahi groups had taken place on July 31, 2016, for supremacy in Sone diara area on the border of Patna and Bhojpur districts. One person was killed while two others were injured in the firing.

After the incident, Patna SSP Manu Maharaj and Bhojpur SP Kshatranil Singh had launched a joint search campaign in the Sone diara areas and police had taken 20 persons into custody for interrogation. Police had also seized four boats used for transporting sand mining in the area and four Poclain machines used for sand mining. Later, Patna police took the seized boats and Poclain machines with them to Patna as the area from where they were seized falls in Patna. The Bihata police took the arrested persons for interrogation.

The SP said that on Thursday the Bhojpur police, on a tip off, conducted raid at Barahara village and arrested three persons including the son of  notorious criminal Fauzi and his brother.
