Ara : With the arrest of four persons including two professional dancers, Bhojpur police on August 26, 2018, claimed to have solved the mystery behind the murder of Bimlesh Sah alias Chhotu at Bihia under the same police station on August 20, 2018. The arrested persons have been identified as Sunny, Ram Lal Yadav, and two professional dancers Chandini and Babita Devi. All the four confessed their involvement in the murder of Bimlesh Sah.

Bhojpur SP Awakash Kumar said that after the Bihia incident, police are conducting raids at different places to arrest the miscreants and during the process interrogated a professional dancer who disclosed that Babita Devi, Chandini, Sunny ( Babita Devi’s son), and Ram Lal Yadav were allegedly involved in the crime. Police arrested them from Serenja locality under Karakat police station in Rohtas district, the SP said.

The SP said that Bimlesh Sah came out of his house at village Damodarpur under Shahpur police station saying that he was going to Patna to get himself admission in the Intermediate course but he reached the red light area located in Dafali locality under Bihia police station instead where he had a tiff over some money and the dancers strangulated him to death with the help of their associates and threw the body on the railways track at Bihia railway station and escaped from the scene. After the recovery of his body, the villagers went on rampage and indulged in arson and also disrobed and paraded a professional dancer naked through the streets in full public view.

The SP said that Bimlesh Sah’s mother Sanju Devi had said that he had demanded bank account number from her before his death and alleged that the residents of red light area had looted his belongings including cash. Her statement had strengthened the notion that Bimlesh Sah visited red light area off and on.

During raids,  leader of a political party was caught red handed with the professional dancers at Bihia though the police later freed him after interrogation.
