Ara : Neha Kumari, daughter of Deepak Kumar Singh of Narahi village under Chandi police station under Koelwar block in Bhojpur district, has been selected for research on ‘Genetic Disorder’ by the Institute of Life Science, Department of Bio-technology, Government of India , Bhubaneshwar,. Her family lives at Jai Prakash Nagar colony, Ara.

Institute of Life Science had invited NET qualified students from all over the country and selected 83 participants who will be admitted to the institute. Experts took aptitude tests of the selected participants for two days at different level and announced final results in favour of 14 students only including Neha Kumari from Bihar. She is the only successful participants from Bihar. Neha was placed at fourth position.

Neha started her schooling at her native village and completed her Post- graduation from Vanashthali, Rajasthan, and then cleared NET in  2016. After completing her PG, she served Bio-Technology department of Maharaja College, Ara, as an Assistant Professor for sometime. Neha Kumari said that Brajesh Kumar, a teacher in the Central School, motivated her to go for research work and so decided to appear at the national level competition organized by the Institute of Life Science in December, 2016.
