Bhojpur DM seeks report from COs about persons with arms licence from outside

Ara : Bhojpur District Magistrate Sanjeev Kumar has asked for detail report of persons who have procured arms licence from  other states including Nagaland within two days from all the Circle Officers (COs) in the district. The DM has directed all the SHOs to co-operate with the COs in this regard.

Arms licences are being verified in Bhojpur district in view of ensuing parliamentary elections and as per report, a number of people have arms licences issued from other states including Nagaland which should have been entered in Bhojpur district record but the persons concerned did not bother to inform the district administration about their arms licences.

Earlier, the Bhojpur DM had withheld salary of all COs for their failure to submit detail reports about the arms licences issued from outside Bhojpur district.

The DM has also deputed seven magistrates including District Agriculture Officer Sanjay Kumar Tiwari, District Welfare Officer Dilendra Kumar, District Employment Officer Ajay Kumar, Deputy Collector Land Reforms, Ara, Mukesh Kumar, to inspects verify seven arms shops in Bhojpur district and submit their reports by March 25, 2019.
