Ara : Bhojpuri DM Snajeev Kumar held a meeting of ‘Shanti Samiti’ ( peace committee) at district headquarters, Ara, all the Sub-Divisional and Block Headquarters from September 25 to 27, 2017, and directed all the officials concerned to ensure peace and harmony during the festivals and appealed the people to cooperate with the administration.

With a view to maintain law and order during the Durga Puja, the entire Ara town has been divided into five zone and the SDOs, SHOs, BDOs and COs have been asked remain alert round the clock. The DM and SP  said that elaborate arrangements had been made to maintain law and order during Durga Puja and Muharram. Magistrate and additional police force have been deputed to all the 34 police stations in Bhojpur district. Five flying squads under magistrates and force have been formed to keep vigil in five zones at Ara.  Magistrates with force have been depployed at 79 places including 34 in Ara town.

The SP said that the CCTV cameras would be installed at 14 places. At least 27 places in urban area and 92 in rural areas have been earmarked sensitive. Lady constables and policemen in civies have been deployed  inside every important pandals for four day. Idol immersion routes have been physically verified to prevent any untoward incident.
