Sitamarhi : The Bharat Bundh call in support of farmers’ on going protest and agitation against three new farm laws passed off peacefully in Sitamarhi District in North Bihar on December 8, 2020.
Vehicular traffic was off the road during noon hours that caused a lot of hardships to daily passengers and commuters. Essential services were, however, not affected during Bandh. Business establishments, banks, and shops remained closed in the town.
Farmers and representatives of political parties blocked the busy Mehsaul and Kargil bypass Chowks. They sat on Dharna on the road under the leadership of former Riga Congress MLA Amit Kumar Tunna, RJD leaders Ritu Jaiswal and Shafiq Khan, left parties district level functionaries and Sanyukt Kisan Sangharsha Morcha President Prof. Anand Kishore.
