Chas (Jharkhand) : To ease the process of learning and follow an uninterrupted academic session, DPS Chas, Bokaro, in a first of its kind step, took a very special initiative by launching two vehicles “PUSTAK VAHINI” & “ZEAL ON WHEELS” on December 8, 2020.
Under this scheme, school buses will ply across the city on different routes comforting the students and parents helping them avail a pick and drop facility for note-books, assignments, and work-sheets; assessing and assisting the students in the best possible way. The vehicles were launched by the Chief Mentor of the School Dr Hemlata S Mohan in the presence of Pro Vice Chairman N Muralidharan, Officiating Principal P Shailaja Jayakumar, Students, Parents, Teachers, and Office Staff. The visits of the buses will be as per notifications from the school at a weekly, fortnightly or monthly interval for different classes with the route chart and timings at the bus stop.
Highlighting her views on the relevance of education in this pandemic time, Dr Hemlata S Mohan said, “ To ensure right learning, this facility will play a very important role by helping the students send their note-books to the school with the philosophy ‘If the student cannot come for education, education will reach the students’, as DPS Chas always makes education a purposeful experience.”
Officiating Principal, P Shailaja Jayakumar said, “This initiativehas been taken with a view to ensuring that every student get the right to get correct learning and teachers feel content about reaching the students perfectly and no student misses out on education just because they cannot come to the school.”
