Berdych to play Agut in Qater Open 2019 final on Jan. 5

Patna : World No 71 in ATP rankings and a former Wimbledon finalist ( 2010) Tomas Baerdych, 33, Czech Republic, will clash with World No 24 Roberto Bautista Agut, 30, Spain, in the final of Qatar Open 2019 at Doha at 8.30 pm on January 5, 2019. Berdich beat World No 20 Marco Cecchinato, 26, Italy, in the second semi-finals 7-6, 6-3 late on January 4 night to enter the final. Berdych fired 12 Aces in the match to 5 by Cecchinato. Berdych has won 13 ATP titles while Agut has won 8.

Agut had shocked World No 1 and winner of 14 Grand Slam titles Novak Djokovic, 31, Serbia, 3-6, 7-6, 6-4 in the first semi-final the same night. Agut now stands 2-7 head to head against Djokovic.
