Patna : World No 24 Roberto Bautista Agut, 30, Spain, stunned World No 1 and winner of 14 Grand Slam titles Novak Djokovic, 31, Serbia, in the semi-finals of Qatar Open, Doha, on January 4, 2019, night. Agut beat Djokovic in a three-set encounter 3-6, 7-6, 6-4 in 2 hour 35 minutes to enter the final of Qatar Open.

Djokovic, who had taken three-sets to win his first two matches in the tournament, was not lucky the third time as Agut came from behind to win the second and third sets. Djokovic fired 9 Aces in the match to 7 by Agut. But, Djokovic also committed 3 double faults.

Both the players won 2 break points each in the match. Both of them also won 3 games each in a row during the match. Incidentally, Djokovic won 75 service points to 63 by Agut. Agut’s winning percentage ( 79) on his first serve was better than that of Djokovic (67).
