Patna : World No 51 in ATP rankings Benoit Paire, 30, France, on May 25, 2019, evening, beat World No 28 Felix Auger-Aliassime, 18, Canada, in the final to lift the ATP Lyon Open singles title at Lyon, France. Paire beat Aliassime in straight sets 6-4, 6-3 in 1hr 20 minutes in the final of the clay court tournament.It was Aliassime’s 2nd ATP tour final in 2019.

Paire broke Aliassime’s service 4 times in the match while the latter broke his service only once. Paire fired 7 Aces in the match to 8 by Aliassime. Paire won 3 games in a row in the match to 2 by Aliassime. Aliassime, however, won 40 service points to 34 by Paire. But, he also committed 4 double faults to 2 by Paire.
