President signs order dissolving 16th Lok Sabha

New Delhi : The Union Cabinet,at its meeting held on May 24, 2019, had advised The President to dissolve the 16^th Lok Sabha with immediate effect.

The President accepted the advice of the Cabinet on May 24  and signed the order dissolving the 16^th Lok Sabha in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by Sub-clause (b) of Clause (2) of Article 85 of the Constitution, according to a PIB release.
