Bagaha : Four residents of Shripatinagar Bhaisahiyatola in Semra-Labdeha panchayat under Piparasi block in West Champaran on May 31, 2017, met SDM, Bagaha, Dharmendar Kumar at his office on and complained to him that although they had constructed toilet at their houses nine months back, they were yet to receive the assistance amount of Rs 12,000 each into their respective accounts. It may be mentioned here that Piparasi block of West champaran district has been declared Open Defecation Free (ODFD).
The four villagers: Taplal Shah, Subas Bind, Pathal Bind and Damodar Koeri informed the Bagaha SDM that had constructed toilets at their own cost on the assurance that the assistance amount fixed at Rs 12,000 for each toilet would be paid. They alleged that the amount had misappropriated by middleman in connivance with few bankers. The SDM forwarded their grievances to Piparasi BDO with a direction to look into the matter.
