World No 8 NG Ka Angus beat 2nd seed Chou Tien Chen, Taiwan, in three-games 17-21, 21-18, 21-15 in 66 minutes in semi-finals. Angus won 59 rallies in the match to 54 by Chen. He won 6 consecutive points to 11 by Chen. Chen, however, still leads Angus 10-7 Head to Head.
Viktor Axelsen, the 2017 World Champion, beat 5th seed Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, Indonesia, 21-19, 13-21, 21-13 in 63 minutes in the semi-finals. Axelsen won 55 rallies in the match to 53 by Ginting.
