Patna : Australia face a daunting task of scoring 491 runs in next two days to win the second test with 9 wickets in hand. Pakistan, on the other hand, need 9 wickets to win the match at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi, UAE. Pakistan, who had scored 282 runs in their first innings, declared their second innings at 400/9 in 120 overs in the third session of play on day 3 with opener Fakhar Zaman scoring 66, Azhar Ali 64 (run out), Asad Shafiq 44, Babar Azam 99 and captain & wicketkeeper Sarfraz Ahmed scoring 81. For Australia, Nathan Lyon took 4/135 in Pakistan’s second innings taking match tally to 8 wickets.
Chasing a mammoth target of 538, Australia were 47/1 in 12 overs at stumps on day 3 with opener Aaron Finch batting on 24 and Travis Head batting on 17. Shaun Marsh, who opened the innings, was out for 4 to fast bowler Mir Hamza continuing his poor run.
