Patna : Australia, who had scored 179 runs in their first innings, were 171/6 in their second innings at stumps on Day 2 in 3rd Ashes Test against England at Headlingley, Leeds, UK, on August 23, 2019, late night, with Marnus Labuschagne unbeaten on 53 in 139 balls with 5 fours and fast bowler James Pattinson on 2 not out. Australia, who had won the 1st test, are leading by 283 runs. Labuschagne had scored 74 in the first innings

Openers David Warner and Marcus Harris scored 0 and 19 runs respectively. Warner fell to fast bowler Stuard Broad while Harris fell to spinner Jack Leach.  Usman Khawaja fell to fast bowler Chris Woakes for  23 while Travis Head fell to Ben Stokes for 25. Matthew Wade also fell to Stokes for 33. Captain Tim Pai ne (wk) fell to Broad for a duck. For England, Broad took 2/34 while Stokes took 2/33. Chris Woakes took 1/34 while Leach took 1/46.

Earlier, England, in a sensational collapse, were all out for just 67 runs with fast Josh Hazlewood taking 5/30 and Pat Cummins 3/23. James Pattinson took 2/9.
