WI 78/3 in 1st innings of 1st test, India 297 all out

Patna : West Indies (WI) were 78/3 after 26 overs in their first innings in the 2nd session of play on Day 2 of the first test against India at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua, on August 23, 2019, late night. Darren Bravo was batting on 16 while Roston Chase was unbeaten on 8.

Opener Kraigg Brathwaite fell to fast bowler Ishant Sharma for 14 while his opening partner John Campbell fell to Mohammad Shami for 23. Shamarh Brooks fell to spinner Ravindra Jadeja for 11.

Earlier resuming at their overnight score of 203/6, India were all out for 297 in their first innings with Ravindra Jadeja scoring 58 in 112 balls with 6 fours and a six while Ishant Sharma made 19 in 62 balls with 1 four. Jadeja and Sharma added 60 runs for the 8th wicket. Rishabh pant (wk) fell to fast bowler Kemar Roach for 24. Jadeja fell to WI captain Jason Holder.

For WI, Kemar Roach took 4/66 while Shannon Gabriel took 3/71. Roston Chase took 2/58 while Jason Holder took 1/36.
