Patna : Rakesh Kumar Mishra, a 1986 batch IPS officer who was waiting for posting on his return from central deputation, was on August 23, 2019, appointed DG cum Commandant General, Homeguards & Fire Service, Bihar. He has replaced Sunil Kumar, a 1987 batch IPS officer.
Sunil Kumar has been shifted and appointed DG cum CMD, Bihar Police Building Construction Corporation, Patna. The Home (police) department issued a notification to this effect on August 23, 2019.
Mishra will retire on March 31, 2020, while Sunil Kumar will retire on July 31, 2020.
