Ara: Over 62 accused wanted in various cases were arrested under different Police stations in Aurangabad district on Sunday night. The operation to arrest criminals evading arrest was launched on the direction of Aurangabad SP Babu Ram.
Following the direction of SP, Nabinagar, Mali, Narai, Badem and Rafiganj police stations conducted raids at different places under their respective jurisdiction and arrested 62 accused wanted in different cases., said sources in the SP office.
The SP has also asked all the police stations to expedite property attachment of the accused who are evading arrest for a long despite issuing of warrants of arrest aginst them. He has warned the SHOs of all 29 police stations in the district that delay in arrest of wanted accused would be viewed as inefficiency of officers and departmental proceeding would be initiated against such officials
