Ara: Veer Kuer Singh University (VKSU) administration has started preparations on war footing to get NAAC accreditation. Vice Chancellor, VKSU, Ara, Leela Chand Sah, said that the university administration is leaving no stone unturned to get NAAC accreditation with very good grade. He said the infrastructure in PG departments has been improved and SSR has also been prepared and will be uploaded on the website of the university and NAAC.

Sah said Botany, Zoology, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Geography, Economics and Commerce PG departments of the VKSU have been converted into smart classes. Besides, a canteen is being constructed at a cost of Rs 23 lakh and cycle stand and health centre have been opened. Work to complete the half constructed Science Bhavan on the VKSU campus has started and information centre and advance computer centre are being established at the science bhawan.

The VC said that lists of former students of the university of each PG department were being prepared and the university administration has provided each PG department with display board for displaying information related to students. The lists are being prepared because the NAAC team would like to know from the alumni about progress and status of university and also what they were doing at present during its visit to the university. The VC stated that funds had been allotted to all the PG departments for their expenditure to prepare for inspection by NAAC team. Rs. 1.5 lakh has been allotted to the Science departments while Rs 1 lakh to Arts departments. Books for library and journals for research works are being purchased and arrangements have been made for pure drinking water for students on the university campus, he said.
