Ara : A youth Ajit Singh committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling of his room in Chitratoli road locality under Town police station, Ara, on May 6, 2017, night after getting bankrupt in the IPL betting.

Ajit Singh, 20 of Chitratoli Road locality under Town police station, had invested several lakhs on speculation in the IPL. He had put several lakhs on Gujarat Lion but the Delhi Daredevils won the match. After that the money lenders had started putting pressure on him to return their money. Ajit Singh  committed suicide by hanging himself to the ceiling of his room under depression.

Ara, sources said, has become a den of such speculators these days.  Police had recently conducted raid at a restaurant on Chitratoli road and busted a sex racket besides a gang of speculators.
