Ara trader shot at and injured by former MLC’s son

Ara: Sonu Rai, son of a former MLC Lal Das Rai, allegedly shot at and injured a hardware trader Pateli Sharma alias Prahlad Sharma, 35, son of Faguni Sharma of Bhaluhipur locality under Town police station in Banstal locality under the same police station on Sunday. The injured was admitted to Ara Sadar Hospital. A named FIR has been lodged with Town police station against Sonu Rai and his driver but no arrest has so far been made in this regard.

Pateli Sharma owned a furniture shop at Mirganj under Town police station and also had a godown at Banstal under the same police station. He had sold his godown to Sonu Rai in February his year. On Sunday, driver of Sonu Rai took Pateli Sharma to Sonu Rai’s residence cum office at Banstal. Sonu Rai rebuked and also abused him for not vacating  the godown and allegedly also shot at him. Lal Das Rai has, however, strongly denied the charges against his son.
