Ara: Under the banner of Agrasen Samiti, Agrasen Sawan Mahotsav 2016 was organized at Maina Sundar Dharmshala on Monday where large number of women and girls participated in the “Mehandi” and “Phool ka Chhalla” competitions organized on the occasion.
The Mehandi competition was organized in three categories—girls in the age group of 5-10 years were put in the first category, girls in 11-16 years age group were in the second category while girls and women above 17 years of age were in third category. The Phool Ka Chhalla competition was open to women of all age. Chetana Agrawal was adjudged first and Preksha Jain was second in the Phool ka Chhalla competition.
In the Mehandi competition, Sanskriti Jain was declared first and Saloni Jain second in the first category while in the second category Shreya Agrawal was adjudged first and Kushali Jail was second. In the third category, Suman Jalan was adjudged first while Prachi Jain was declared second. Dr Sabita Rungata, Niraja Jain, Madhu Jain, Rita Agrawal and Smita Jain were in the judges’ panel and also gave away prizes to the successful participants.
