Ara : Additional District and Sessions Judge XVI, Ara, Ranjeet Kumar, on January 21, 2020, sentenced to rigorous life imprisonment one Badri Paswan and also slapped a fine of Rs 50,000 in a murder case.

APP Jugeshwar Prasad said that some miscreants took Ajay Kumar Singh of village KaupĀ  under Charpokhari police station in Bhojpur District to a lonely place from his house and shot him dead. Later, they threw the body on the outskirts of the village on September 15, 2015, from where police had recovered the body.

A named FIR was lodged with Charpokhari police station against Badri Pawan and others in connection with the murder. Badri Paswan had escaped from police custody from Ara Civil Court campus on January 18, 2020, after the court convicted him butĀ  police chased and arrested him immediately.
