Police arrest notorious criminal Nityanand Singh in Delhi

Ara : Bhojpur Police arrested notorious criminal Nityanand Singh from near Bahadurgarh in New Delhi on January 20, 2020, in connection with murder and extortion demand cases.

ADG (Operation) Sushil Khopade said that Nityanand Singh, a resident of village Nathmalpur under Barhara police station in Bhojpur district, had shot dead a gold trader Sriman Narayan Sah on December 30, 2019, for not giving ‘Rangdari’ (extortion amount). He had also fired on a mobile shop owner on January 2, 2020, for Rs 5 lakh as Rangdari but the shop owner somehow escaped unhurt. Later, Nityanand Singh fled away from Bihar and took shelter in New Delhi due to mounting police pressure.

Meanwhile, police got his location though his mobile surveillance and a team of Special Task Force was sent to New Delhi. After several days recce, the STF succeeded in arresting Nityanand Singh from Bahadurgarh area on January 20, 2020. The ADG further said that at least  10 cases of murder, rangdari and loot are pending with Barhara, Udwantnagar, and Sandesh police stations against him.
