Ara : Additional District and Session Judge I, Ara Civil Court, Rakesh Kumar Singh On JUne 3, 2019, sentenced to rigorous life imprisonment four persons under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) and SC/ST Act for outraging the modesty of a teenage girl. The court also slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 on each of them.
APP Satyendra Singh Dara said that Veer Bahadur Singh, Akhilesh Kumar alias Bhanta, Mantosh Kumar Singh, and Rajwar decoyed a teenage girl of village Andhari under Chauri police station on March 8, 2018, in the name of allocation of Indira Awas and took the girl and her mother to Sahar block on a three-wheeler. The miscreants dropped the mother at Khaira Bazaar and told her to reach Sahar block and took the girl with them saying that they would return in a few minute after taking some documents. But the miscreants took the girl to Chhatarpur under Sahar police station where they outraged her modesty twice one by one and later dropped her near village Andhari.
The mother of the girl waited for her at the Sahar block office till evening and returned home where she did not find her. In the late evening, the girl came home weeping and narrated her ordeals. She informed Chauri police station and police arrested all the four accused from Chhatarpur village under Sahar police station and lodged a named FIR against them under SC/ST and POCSO Act.
After hearing both the parties, ADJ I, Rakesh Kumar Singh, awarded rigorous life imprisonment to all the four and also slapped a fine of Rs. 10,000 on each of them.
