Patna : Pakistan scored a huge 348/8 in 50 overs against England at Trent Bridge, Nottingham, UK, in the 6th match of ICC World Cup on June 3, 2019, with all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez, 38, scoring 84 in 62 balls hitting 8 fours and 2 sixes, Babar Azam scoring 63 in 66 balls with 4 fours and a six, and captain Sarfaraz Ahmed  (wk) 55 in 44 balls with 5 fours. For England, spinner n Ali took 3/50 in 10 overs while fast bowler Chris Woakes took 3/71 in 8 overs. fast bowler Mark Wood took 2/53 in 10 overs. England won the toss and opted to bowl.

Batting first, Pakistan openers Imam-ul -Haq and Fakhar Zaman added 82 runs in 14.1 overs for the first wicket when the latter fell to Moeen Ali for 36 in 40 balls with 6 fours. Haq fell to Moeen Ali for 44 in 58 balls with 3 fours and a six and it was 111/2 in 20.1 overs. Babar Azam and Mohammad Hafeez added 88 runs for the 3rd wicket. Babbar also fell to  Moeen for 63 making it 199/3. Hafeez and Sarfaraz added 80 runs for the 4th wicket.Hafeez fell to Mark Wood for 84 making it 279/4 in 42.4 overs. Asif Ali fell to Mark Wood for 14 while  Sarfaraz fell to Chris Woakes. Hasan Ali and Shadab Khan remained unbeaten on 10 each.
