Patna : In an all Danish Finals, World No 3 Anders Antonsen, 23, beat World No 4 and 2017 World Cham;ion Viktor Axelsen, 27, in three games to lift the men’s singles title at HSBCBWF World Tours Finals at Impact Area, Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, Bankgkok, Thailand, on January 31, 2021.

Antonsen beat Axelsen, who had recently won Yonex Thailand Open and Toyota Thailand Open singles titles, 21-16, 5-21, 21-17 in the finals in 60 minutes to win the men’s singles title at HSBC BWF WorldTour Finals. Antonsen won 47 rallies in the match to 54 by Axelsen. He won 6 consecutive points during the match to 8 by Axelsen. The two players are now locked 3-3 Head to Head.

Antonsen won 12,000 rankings points and $120,000 prize money for winning the title while runner-up Axelsen secured 10,200 rankings points and $60,000 prize money.
