Patna : World No 9 N G Ka Long Angus, Hong Kong, beat World No 8 Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, Indonesia, in straight games in first round of Fuzhou China Open, an HSBC BWF World Tour Super 750 event, at Fuzhou, China, on November 5, 2019. Angus beat Ginting 21-18, 21-9 in 39 minutes at Haixia Oluympic Sports Centre, Fuzhou, China, to enter the 2nd round.

Angus won 42 rallies in the match to 27 by Ginting, who had stunned World No 1 and two-time World Champion Kento Momota at French Open last week. He won 7 consecutive points to 6 by Ginting. Angus now leads Ginting 7-3 Head to Head.

World No 6 Viktor Axelsen, Denmark, beat World No 15 Kanta Tsuneyama, Japan, 21-15, 21-19 in 44 minutes to enter the 2nd round. Axelsen won 42 rallies in the match to 34 by Tsuneyama. Both the players won 5 consecutive points each in the match. Axelsen now leads Tsuneyama 4-1 Head to Head.
